Sky: Better performance, same spirit, new faces

Paulo Fonseca failed to win his first game as head coach of AC Milan, playing 2-2 against FC Turin at the San Siro on Saturday evening.

According to Sky, the head coach wants to “erase the performance and preserve the reaction, the spirit and the will not to lose” that his team showed when they came back from a 2-0 deficit in the last ten minutes to secure a draw.

Fonseca has another week of work ahead of him with all the players in his squad except Alvaro Morata, and then comes the first of two consecutive away games for Milan at the Tardini against Parma on Saturday, which precedes a trip to the capital to face Lazio.

Ahead of the international break that follows the latter match, the Portuguese will begin reshaping his team starting next Saturday, making it as similar as possible to the team he envisioned and designed together with the Rossoneri management.

This means that Theo Hernandez, Strahinja Pavlovic, Tijjani Reijnders and Youssouf Fofana will play simultaneously from the start, in addition to Morata when he returns from injury. this should actually be after the break.

It is believed that the starting eleven could change drastically in the next two or three weeks and that the characteristics of the players that come in will be beneficial for Milan. They will need some time to reach their peak form but as long as the results come, they will be given time.
