The Democratic Party Convention has entered its second day of events.
Tuesday’s program, which has yet to be officially announced, is themed “A Bold Vision for America’s Future.” Former President Barack Obama and other speakers will be the main attractions of tonight’s primetime program.

The main program for Tuesday’s events is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Central Time (6:30 p.m. ET) and run until 10 p.m.
When will the 2024 Democratic National Convention take place?
The 2024 Democratic National Convention will take place in Chicago from August 19 to 22.
How to stream the DNC 2024 live
Viewers can stream the events live on the convention website between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Central Time (7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern Time). USA TODAY will also offer a live broadcast each night of the DNC on YouTube.
What channel will the DNC 2024 be on?
According to USA TODAY, the major cable channels plan to report on the DNC:
- C-SPAN will hold the entire conference on all four days without interruption.
- CBS News Coverage of the convention will air in prime time Monday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will be hosted by CBS Evening News anchor and editor-in-chief Norah O’Donnell.
- ABC News will air one hour in prime time on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET and two hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. ABC News Live, the network’s streaming news channel, will carry the prime time coverage all four days from 7 p.m. to midnight.
- Fox News will present a one-hour special every night Monday through Thursday at 10:00 p.m. ET titled “Fox News Democracy 2024: The Democratic National Convention,” co-hosted by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.
- CNN will be broadcasting live from the DNC nearly 24 hours a day, including special live coverage each night from 8 p.m. to midnight Eastern Time with “CNN Democratic National Convention.”
- News Nation will have special primetime coverage called “Decision Desk 2024: The Democratic National Convention,” airing daily from 8 p.m. to midnight ET. Co-hosts are Chris Cuomo, Elizabeth Vargas and Leland Vittert.
- NBC News will stream the convention on its streaming platform NBC News Now as part of its “Decision 2024” program. Coverage will air Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will be anchored by Lester Holt and Savannah Guthrie, according to the New York Times.
- MSNBC will broadcast special coverage every night from 8 p.m. to midnight and will also stream all four days of the convention live on its YouTube channel, the New York Times reported.
