It all started with a DM.
Doja Cat was spotted holding hands with Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn, two years after she asked his co-star Noah Schnapp to set them up.
According to photos obtained by People, the 28-year-old “Agora Hills” singer and 30-year-old Quinn walked hand in hand through London on Saturday.
The newlywed couple seemed to be very much in love with each other and smiled and chatted during their romantic stroll through the big city.
Doja – born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – wore a see-through crop top over a nude bra, a black pleated leather skirt and thigh-high leather boots.
The “A Quiet Place: Day One” actor wears a blue long-sleeved shirt tucked into gray pinstripe pants, a brown belt and black leather boots.
Doja and Quinn’s romance became public knowledge over the weekend when they were spotted showing their love for each other during another outing in London.
According to a photo shared by gossip blog DeuxMoi, the “Paint the Town Red” rapper was seen nuzzling her head on the “Dickensian” alum’s shoulder as they celebrated at Dingwalls.
The outlet then posted a video of the couple on a romantic stroll. In the clip, Doja held Quinn’s hand on his back while he caressed her butt with his other hand.
However, the budding romance began with drama.
In July 2022, the “Kiss Me More” singer sent Schanpp a private message, inquiring about his “Stranger Things” co-star, who had previously described her on X as “super cool.”
“Noah, can you tell Joseph to text me,” she wrote, adding, “Wait, no. Does he have a girlfriend?”
The teenager replied, “LMAOO slide into his DMs.”
When Doja said she didn’t know what social media profiles he had, Schnapp, now 19, sent her a link to his Instagram account.
Following the exchange, the “Tutor” actor shared a screenshot of his private messages with Doja in a now-deleted TikTok.
The “Woman” singer then took to TikTok Live and sharply criticized the teenager for sharing her messages with the public.
“I think to be fair, we should just take it easy for now. Noah is a kid, but I don’t even know how old he is, but he’s not even over – I mean, he’s definitely not over 21,” she said.
“But when you’re so young, you make mistakes.”
Doja then called Schnapp “incredibly socially inept and crazy” because of the incident.
“Maybe he’s like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him like that,” she told her fans.
“I assumed he would take it easy, and then he gave me information that I didn’t feel good about.”
Doja was subsequently criticized by her fans for asking a teenager to play matchmaker for two adults. Due to the backlash, she reportedly lost more than 200,000 followers while Schnapp gained 2 million.
A few days later, the Netflix star took to TikTok to openly denounce the drama.
“Guys everything is fine, I apologized and still follow her and love her music with no hard feelings,” Schnapp posted.
Before her romance with Quinn, Doja was in a relationship with comedian Jeffrey “J” Cyrus. It is unclear when they split.
Quinn was previously in a relationship with musician Alana Haim and model Alicia Davis.
