Exposing the potential rift between Drake and Lil Yachty

Drake and Lil Yachty may be at odds—at least that’s what fans are currently speculating. Although the evidence is inconclusive, curious fans believe they have evidence to support their theory that Drizzy upset Lil Boat and possibly ruined their relationship.

One might ask, what were the reasons for the dispute? None other than one of the Toronto rapper’s patented leaked releases. More specifically, the soft drama seems to have erupted over the “Super Soak (SOD)” collaboration, which Yachty gave to streamer Kai Cenat to leak during a stream last month.

The track itself has apparently already caused more than enough controversy: Soulja Boy threatened violence if the song turned out to be a secret diss, and Yachty announced that they leaked the song because they had not been able to get the sample approved.

But after it was announced that Drake was preparing the song for an official release, along with a music video but not with a verse from Lil Boat as expected, the track caused a stir again.

Now, it appears that the scandal surrounding the release is related to Yachty’s alleged reaction to his being cut from the song. Instagram users pointed out that Yachty apparently unfollowed Drake on Instagram shortly after rumors emerged that his verse had been cut from the song.

But it seems like the fan theory was either half-baked or Yachty was completely freaked out on social media and quick to respond, considering fans also pointed out that Lil Boat apparently re-followed Drizzy after he was mentioned in the timeline.

While it may seem a bit far-fetched to assume there’s trouble in paradise for this collaborative pair based on some screenshots from Instagram, the situation could also be very plausible. Yachty eventually swore off the internet after being panned online following the interview, revealing the reason why social media influencer Mr. Hotspot refused to release the sample for him and Drake in the first place.

“We couldn’t release the sample, so I just had Kai play it,” he said. Yachty also revealed that they would not officially release the track. “But it’s everywhere,” he said, adding that Mr. Hotspot “took a Christian route… it was crazy, everyone was like, ‘Are you serious?'”

In a way, it wouldn’t be hard to believe that Lil Yachty would be a little disdainful of Drake’s decision to remove him from the track, given all the effort he put into bringing the song to the masses.
