A Brazos County teacher and paramedic were honored for their service to the community with a dream wedding package presented by American Heroes Dream Wedding Giveaway.

The annual contest awards a couple who serve the community as military personnel, first responders or teachers with an all-inclusive wedding package, including pre- and post-wedding necessities such as a rehearsal dinner, engagement photos, invitations and even a honeymoon.

“We just want to give back to the community,” Benjamin Thompson of the Inn at Quarry Ridge told KBTX. “Especially those who are always giving. Like first responders, paramedics, teachers, people like that. People who maybe don’t get anything very often, and this is just a way to give back and show our love and appreciation for those people.”
