CM Punk is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and has had a tremendous impact on the wrestling industry. Not only is he an exceptional athlete, but he is also a masterful performer known for his electrifying verbal segments. His reputation as “The Best in the World” is well-deserved and reflects his deep devotion to the wrestling business. However, there was a time when he was surrounded by controversy, which led to his exit from WWE. He later moved to AEW, where he gave it his all and had a successful run. In a recent interview with Broken open radioCM Punk reflected on what he had learned during his time away from WWEand emphasized his genuine concern for his fellow wrestlers and his love for WWE.

CM Punk, known for his outspoken demeanor and past controversies, has shown a more positive attitude since returning to WWE in November of last year. In a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, Punk spoke about what he missed during his time away from WWE and highlighted the traits that make him a superstar who genuinely cares about his fellow wrestlers in the company.
“(I missed) the guys hanging out in the locker room.” “There are people you see at work that are work colleagues and when you’re not at work you don’t see them. It’s hard to keep in touch with everybody, so it’s a real treat just to reconnect with people and see a lot of people I haven’t seen in 10 years.” (Via Busted Open Radio and Wrestling Inc)

CM Punk left WWE in 2014, which led to a long break from wrestling. He made his comeback in 2021 with AEW, but his time there was marred by controversy, including a dispute with the AEW president Tony Khan. Due to tensions behind the scenes, Punk was eventually fired by Khan and later returned to WWE. Punk made an exciting return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, providing one of the most electrifying moments of the year. He then competed in the 2024 Royal Rumble, where he sustained an injury after taking a Future Shock DDT from Drew McIntyreand caused him to miss WrestleMania 40.
After months of recovery, Punk was allowed back into the ring shortly before SummerSlam. He competed against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam in a match with Seth Rollins as guest referee, but was defeated by McIntyre. Now Punk and McIntyre will face each other again. On the last episode of Raw, it was announced that CM Punk will face Drew McIntyre in a strap match at the upcoming Bash in Berlin event.
