It’s no surprise that the Columbus area is home to hot real estate, but you might be surprised to learn that a central Ohio city has been named “America’s Hottest ZIP Code” by Realtor.com for the second year in a row.
That city is Gahanna, Ohio. And the zip code, in case you were wondering, is 43230.
This is the second year in a row that Gahanna has taken the top spot, a feat that – according to Realtor.com – has never been accomplished before since the list was introduced in 2017.

Here’s what realtor.com said about Gahanna:
Gahanna topped the list for two years in a row. Columbus The area offers homebuyers the amenities and quality of life of a larger city, but at a lower price. Prices for homes in this zip code were 11.0% below the metropolitan average and 19.4% below the national median in the first half of the year. The lifestyle and affordability in the 43230 zip code (Gahanna, Ohio) attracted the attention of buyers in the New York City Metro, although almost half of the audience came from the metro.
The success was also announced on the city’s official Facebook page.
“This repeated honor underscores the appeal of our charming city and it’s no surprise why we are a desirable place to live – our diverse and affordable housing options, our world-class amenities, our great job opportunities and a perfect mix of suburban tranquility and urban excitement,” the post said.
