Lil Yachty And drake have been good friends for a long time, but fans believe a disagreement over a song may have caused a rift between the two artists.
It all started earlier this week when Akademiks told his followers that Drake plans to release the song “SOD (Super Soak)”. The media star also claimed that Drizzy will be releasing a music video for the song and reportedly played a clip of the visuals during his livestream. According to Ak, the song will come with a major update – Lil Boat will not be featured. Fans believe the news upset Yachty so much that he unfollowed The Boy on Instagram.
The alleged update also shocked fans. According to reports, Lil Yachty brought the song to Drake and wanted to put it on the Concrete Boys current album. Their collaboration includes a sample of “Goodness Gracious” by Mr. HotSpot, who unfortunately prevented them from releasing it because the song contained explicit language. Mr. HotSpot eventually informed the duo that they could use his song if they had clarified their verses.
Before the sample was released, Yachty decided to share the song with streamer Kai Cenat. At first, Soulja Boy thought it was Drake’s way of getting on his X scolded himbut he has clarified things with Drizzy and claimed it shouldn’t have dropped at all.
Fans noticed that Yachty unfollowed Drake after news of the updated song went viral. It is not clear if he will address the situation online. Yachty recently claimed he is done with social media after confirming Karrahbooos Farewell to Concrete Boys.
