“Just met my lawful wife,” Drake, 36, wrote on his Instagram story on Tuesday, July 18, alongside a backstage snap with Sexyy Red, 25, amid his It’s all a blur tour.
Dressed in all black, the “Hotline Bling” rapper kissed Sexyy Red (real name Janae Nierah Wherry) in the photo while the red-haired singer gently stroked Drake’s head. The pair sat together on a couch backstage after Drake’s performance.

“Sexyy Red captioned her own Instagram post on Tuesday, which included the same photo full of public affection.
Sexyy Red – who wore white jeans, a matching white denim jacket and a silver bikini top with multiple diamond necklaces – shared a second snap of Drake sticking his tongue out while the “Pound Town” rapper sits on his lap.
The duo’s cheeky backstage meet-up came shortly after Sexyy Red sang along to hits from the audience at Drake’s NYC concert. She documented her stunning look from the audience before spending time with Drake.

The Grammy winner revealed on his Instagram Story on Tuesday that he actually spotted Sexyy Red in the stands during his performance. Drake paused mid-song to give Sexyy Red a kiss on the head, according to a photo captured on the big screen during the event and later shared by the singer himself.
Drake’s flirtation with Sexyy Red came less than a year after his alleged feud with another young rapper. Ice cream seasoningThe 23-year-old was spotted spending time with Drake at OVO Fest 2022 in Canada in August 2022 after he reportedly invited her.

Shortly after Ice Spice left Toronto, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Drake had unfollowed her on social media. Drake then released his hit “BackOutsideBoyz” in November 2022, in which he rapped, “She’s a 10 trying to rap, it’s good to mute it.”
The lyrics were apparently a slap in the face to Ice Spice, who addressed the insult via Twitter that same month. “At least I’m 10,” she wrote, along with a crying laughing emoji and a shrugging girl emoji.
In January, Ice Spice said The New York Times that she and Drake had resolved their problems. “We’re cool,” she said at the time. “We’ve talked to each other a few times since then and it’s OK. There’s no argument.”
