Kevin Nealon in Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle

Actor and comedian Kevin Nealon will be onstage at Mark Ridley’s this weekend doing stand-up comedy. Nealon is known for his work on “Saturday Night Live” and “Weeds” and recently wrote a book called “I Exaggerate: My Brushes with Fame,” which is part memoir and part art book. Itinerant Science Program at the Michigan Science Center

Aramco Americas and the Michigan Science Center are co-hosting a free outdoor event featuring live science demonstrations, hands-on activities and giveaways. Brighton Street Art Fair in Brighton city centre

Browse this collection of fine art from over 150 artists at this outdoor event. There will also be live music, activities for children and hands-on activities. Bret Michaels Parti-Gras 2.0 at Pine Knob

Poison frontman Bret Michaels is joined this time by former Eagles guitarist Don Felder, Chris Janson, Twisted Sister leader Dee Snider and Lou Graham, the original singer of Foreigner, for an evening of rock radio hits from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. “Applause?” at the Ringwaldtheater

Based on the film All About Eve, “Applause?” is a rarely performed Tony Award-winning production that originally ran on Broadway in the 1970s. Made in Michigan Festival at Canterbury Village

Shop local at this fifth annual festival. Locally made jewelry, home decor, clothing, food and even pet supplies are on offer. In addition to browsing the festival vendors, browse the quaint shops in Canterbury Village. There’s plenty to eat, too, including barbecue, craft beer, cider and cocktails. Hazel Park Art Fair at Green Acres Park

This annual arts festival in the shady, tree-filled Green Acres Park has something for everyone. Among the 100 artists showcasing their talents are pottery from the Clawson Clay Guild, nature paintings by Anthony Brass, and demonstrations and performances by the Shadow Circus and D3 Circus Troupe. There are also items for young children, a wishing tree, food trucks and a beer tent. Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Clawson Fest on Main Street

Clawson Fest is a day-long celebration of artisan food and drink, live music and local artisans. It is an annual event sponsored by Weiss Distillery. The town’s social district will be filled with 100 eclectic vendors, live bands, a kids’ area and plenty to eat and drink. Saturday 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Free admission. Main Street in Clawson. “Raiders of the Lost Ark” at the Redford Theatre

See this classic 1981 Indiana Jones film for free in 35mm format, courtesy of Pluto TV. Each screening will give away 400 free tickets on the website and another 100 at the box office. Planet D Nonet at Cadieux Café

Detroit-based jazz group Planet D Nonet is celebrating the release of its latest vinyl album, a tribute to Duke Ellington called “Echoes of Harlem: A Salute to Duke Ellington Vol. 2.” While touring for the previous CD, “Blues to Be There: A Salute to Duke Ellington,” Planet D Nonet continued to add new hits to their repertoire and realized last summer that they had enough material for a second album. The Roots at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheater

Philadelphia’s 11-member hip-hop group The Roots brings its “Hip Hop is the Love of My Life” tour to Sterling Heights this weekend, with special opening guests Arrested Development and Digable Planets. The Roots were formed in the late 1980s by Black Thought and Questlove and can currently be seen nightly on NBC as the house band for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Sunday, 8 p.m. $35 and up. 14900 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights.
