Inti develops role-playing game “Card-en-Ciel” and announces demo release for PC and Switch for next month

Inti Creates has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming roguelite card battle RPG Map in Skyand announced the demo’s release date as September 4, 2024 on Steam and September 5, 2024 on Nintendo Switch. The latest video shows the previously established game systems in detail.

The demo includes a lot of early content, including a tutorial dungeon and two story dungeons, and save data will carry over to the full game.

Previously, the title song and story trailer were revealed together.

Fights everywhere Map in Sky takes place on a 3×6 grid, where players can use their cards for attacks, movements or special abilities. By winning battles you get new cards for the battle. In addition Map in Sky has a full storyline with English and Japanese voice options. Impressively, all character cards are voiced in both languages, and there are over 300 cards to expect.

Additionally, there will be over ten different dungeon and muse cards that use their songs to activate potential abilities in the middle of battle. At least 50 of these will include song tracks. Using these muse song abilities will grant access to hidden card “glitches” and the ability to redirect enemy attacks to opponents, resulting in combos.

In the narrative, Neon explores why characters from different games invade other virtual game worlds, with multiple endings depending on the player’s choices. It’s also worth noting that the number of players is listed as “1-2,” but co-op hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Map in Sky will be released on October 24, 2024 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
