Information on tournament bracket and tickets for the Myrtle Beach Invitational 2024 released

ATHENS, Ohio – ESPN Events has released the tournament schedule and ticket information for the sixth annual Myrtle Beach Invitational on November 21, 22 and 24. As in the past, this year’s event will be held at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC.


The Ohio men’s basketball team will open the event on Thursday, November 21st when they face Middle Tennessee at noon. The Bobcats will then face either South Florida or Portland on Friday, November 22nd at 11:30 a.m. or 2 p.m.


Ohio has a 4-0 overall record against Middle Tennessee. The Bobcats and Middle Tennessee met last November at the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship in Nassau, Bahamas, with the Bobcats scoring an 80-68 victory over the Blue Raiders. Ohio also faced Middle Tennessee at the 2019 Myrtle Beach Invitational, winning 75-63.


Ohio has a 3-1 overall record against Portland and last met in the 2009-10 season. The Bobcats, on the other hand, have a 2-1 overall record against South Florida and last met in 2018-19 at the Jersey Mike’s Jamaica Classic in Montego Bay, Jamaica.


The field for the 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational includes three schools that participated in the 2024 National Invitational Tournament – Bradley, Princeton and South Florida. Princeton has been the Ivy League regular season champion for the past three seasons and made the NCAA’s Sweet 16 in 2023. South Florida won its first American regular season title last year.


The 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational is an eight-team, 12-game tournament owned and operated by ESPN Events. The winners of the first round will play in the semifinals on November 22nd, with the finals taking place on November 24th at 5:30 p.m. ET at the HTC Center.
