How to watch the final night of the DNC live and free online without cable

After three days of high-profile pre-programs, Kamala Harris will take the stage at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday to address delegates and voters.

The Democratic candidate takes center stage tonight, laying out her case for why America should vote for her rather than Donald Trump in November. Her appearance follows fellow vice president Tim Walz’s speech on Wednesday that helped him introduce himself to the country.

The congress will be widely covered. Here’s what you need to know if you plan to follow it.

When will Kamala Harris address delegates at the 2024 Democratic National Convention?

Harris is the headliner and will therefore be the last to take the stage. The exact time is a little harder to determine, however, as it depends on how much longer the speakers and artists before her go over their allotted time.

Who else will speak at the 2024 DNC on Thursday?

Here’s who you can expect on Thursday…

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer

Governor of North Carolina, Roy Cooper

Civil rights activist Al Sharpton

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers.

Pink will also perform.

Which TV channels will broadcast the DNC 2024?

Three of the major television networks and PBS are scheduled to broadcast parts of the convention. Fox will only do so in select markets, however, as it hands over the broadcasts to its local affiliates at 10 p.m. local time. This is the situation for the other networks:

CBS – The networks will report live starting at 9:00 p.m. ET.

NBC – The channels broadcast from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

ABC – Coverage runs from 9pm to 11pm

PBS – Coverage runs from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Fox News – Coverage will air during regular primetime broadcasts. A one-hour special will air at 10 p.m.

CNN – The network plans live coverage from 8:00 p.m.

MSNBC – The network broadcasts its coverage from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

Are there channels that transmit the entire DNC without interruption?

For politics freaks, CSPAN is the place to catch all the action, with non-stop coverage all four days.

Can I stream the Democratic National Convention live online if I don’t have a cable subscription?

You can. The DNC will live stream the convention on a number of platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter/X. Prefer another option? You have plenty to choose from.

Disney+

The Disney bundle with Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ no longer has a free trial, so you’ll have to pay $15 per month for all three combined (or $25 per month without ads on Hulu).

If live TV is included in the package, the price increases to $77 per month ($90 without ads).

Hulu with Live TV

The free trial version of this service is also no longer offered. It now costs $77 per month.

YouTubeTV

After a trial period of up to two weeks, monthly fees of $73 apply.

Sling TV

Dish Network’s Sling Orange plan costs $40 per month. The more comprehensive Blue plan increases the cost to $55 per month. Unfortunately, the seven-day free trial has been eliminated.

DirecTV Stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow and AT&T TV, this oft-renamed streaming service costs $80 and up per month after the free trial.

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cable TV service offers TV and news channels in most markets. There is a seven-day free trial, after which there are monthly fees of $80 and up, depending on the channels you choose.
