Former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel headlines Mid-Ohio ESC’s fall administrative conference

MANSFIELD – The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (ESC) hosted a highly successful Fall Administrative Conference on August 6, bringing together over 250 dedicated administrators from various local districts.

The conference, which aimed to provide valuable insights and strategies to improve administrative skills and support the educational community, was met with enthusiasm and engagement by all participants.

The event began with an inspiring keynote speech by Jim Tressel, who captivated the audience with his talk on the importance of teamwork in achieving common goals. He emphasized the importance of being grateful, not losing hope, setting clear goals and developing a strong work ethic to be successful.

In his keynote speech, he quoted his father’s favorite quote: “They don’t care about your knowledge unless you show them that you care.” In doing so, he emphasized the importance of empathy and helpfulness in leadership.

Following the thought-provoking keynote session, attendees participated in various breakout sessions, a keynote on legal updates, and an informative keynote from the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA). These sessions provided administrators with a wealth of knowledge and practical strategies to implement in their respective districts.

The conference marks a fantastic start to the 2024-2025 school year and sets a positive tone for continued growth and collaboration within the educational community.
