Bay College, in collaboration with the Health Department of Delta and Menominee Counties, has opened its new Youth Health & Wellness – The Center. “We are celebrating the completion of construction and starting to provide services,” Mike Snyder, public health officer for Delta and Menominee counties, said the center will provide non-emergency medical and mental health care for people ages 10 to 21. “It provides another avenue for those in need to access services. There is a huge shortage of mental health providers and even physical health providers for children. This will give 10- to 21-year-olds greater access to these services,” Snyder said health care representatives, Bay College and their friends and families were in attendance at the event. “Public Health Delta, Menominee Counties and Bay College are confident in this partnership and we are pleased to offer this resource,” said Snyder.
