Google’s Essentials app for Windows brings Play Games, Photos, News and other Google apps preinstalled on PCs

Google has introduced “Google Essentials,” a new all-in-one app for Windows PCs. The Essentials will debut on HP’s line of consumer and gaming laptops and will be pre-installed on PCs. They are designed to simplify user access to the Google suite of services.
Google Essentials acts as a central hub and provides quick access to popular Google Services directly from the Windows Start menu.Users can effortlessly manage Photosreply to text messages and use productivity tools without leaving their PC environment. A key feature of Google Essentials is the integration with Google Play Gamesallowing users to enjoy mobile and PC games while syncing their progress across platforms.
The app also allows access to the Photos, Messages, Documents, Drive, and Calendar apps. Google says users can remove individual apps or even the Essential apps if they wish.
As part of the launch, eligible Google One subscribers will receive a free two-month trial with 100GB of cloud storage.
The initial release is for HP PCs, including the Spectre, Envy, Pavilion, OMEN, and Victus lines. The app will soon be available for Omnibook brands. Google has hinted at plans to expand the app’s availability to other laptop and desktop manufacturers in the coming months.
