Parisian blonde is the hair color trend of the summer

At Red HQ, we’ve long taken notes on the beauty of French girls; there’s something undeniably appealing about their relaxed, elegant aesthetic. So when Cara Delevingne debuts a new hair shade her colorist calls “Parisian Blonde,” we sit up and take notice.

The model and actor presented the new color for the first time at the Flash twice Premiere in London. The shade, created by Harriet Muldoon at Larry King South Kensington (known to connoisseurs as the “Queen of Blonde”), is sandy, sexy and uncomplicated.

“For Cara, I wanted to create a naturally chic shade that reflected the French girl aesthetic,” she said. “We worked with Cara’s natural base and added a few highlights for a grown-out effect; it sits higher in the hair than balayage. We applied a gloss on top to make the color look really natural and all her own.”

And it does. The color also goes perfectly with the styling: together with a beach cut and loose waves by mega stylist Larry King, it’s a look that represents uncomplicated French beauty so well.

To create the natural-looking movement, Larry used the Dyson Corrale and tongs, as well as his My Nanna’s Mousse to hold the shape and add some density. Very mouth-watering.
