JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – The Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business Program (JSEB) has launched free monthly forums to provide resources, support and networking opportunities to the Hispanic business community.

The two-hour forums will be held in Spanish and feature expert presentations, interactive workshops and open discussions, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing Hispanic business owners.
Some of the topics covered are:

Navigating the procurement process with the City of Jacksonville

Building successful business relationships with general contractors

Utilizing local government resources for business growth

Networking strategies for economic development
The forums will be held once a month through the end of the year from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates at the Downtown Main Library at 303 N. Laura Street.

According to the most recent U.S. Census, Jacksonville’s Hispanic community makes up just over 11% of the city’s population and is one of the fastest-growing populations in Duval County.
“We are excited to offer these forums in Spanish to better serve our Hispanic business community,” said Yanira “Yaya” Cardona, Hispanic Outreach Coordinator for the City of Jacksonville. “Our goal is to provide Hispanic small business owners with the knowledge and connections they need to succeed and contribute to Jacksonville’s economic growth.”
