Kanye West dedicates his “I Wonder” performance in South Korea to Drake

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign took over South Korea’s Goyang Stadium for a Vulture 2 Listening Party on Friday (August 23), and West gave the thousands of Korean fans in attendance a special treat with a solo set that spanned his entire discography.

Yeezy even took to the microphone and rapped along to his greatest hits medley, which included more than 70 tracks in total and included everything from “Stronger” to “Runaway” to “Famous.”

At various points, Ye introduced his anthems with some shout-outs, and his temporary enemy Drake was on the receiving end of a shout-out before Diploma‘s “I wonder.”

“This is for Drake. This is for Ian Connor,” said Ye. Connor is a fashion designer who has faced countless allegations of sexual harassment.

Some thought West was trolling Drake – since they don’t seem to get along very well – but Drizzy is actually a huge fan of the poignant 2007 song. The 6 God posted lyrics quoting from “I Wonder” alongside a photo with Ye after their 2021 Larry Hoover benefit concert at the LA Coliseum.

Jay-Z and some of his colleagues from Roc-A-Fella received a lot of praise, while West took a trip back to the 2000s with “Diamonds From Sierra Leone”.

West didn’t want to leave the event without taking a few swipes at his former partner Adidas. He got the 40,000 spectators to join in with a “F— Adidas” chant before continuing with his rebellious “Can’t Tell Me Nothing”. Diploma The track peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Ay, hold up, hold up. Korea, y’all got to help me with this. Say fuck Adidas,” he said, before repeating it as the crowd’s chants grew louder. “Don’t play with me!”

The Chicago-born rapper seemed more inspired to pick up the microphone and rap to his catalog than the traditional vulture Listening experiences where Ye and Ty Dolla $ign play recorded versions of the tracks over the venue’s speakers.

Vulture 2 was released on August 3 and debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200, selling 107,000 album units in its first week.
