Zayn Malik caused a stir among his fans after he revealed a new hairstyle on Instagram.
On Friday, the former One Direction member shocked his followers by posting an a cappella video for his song “Shoot At Will” – although many users focused more on his hair than his impressive voice.
Instead of his typical short-cropped look, Malik wore much longer locks, somewhat reminiscent of his time in the boy band.
The 31-year-old “Pillowtalk” singer also wore a full beard instead of his usual light stubble.
“Give me the hair care routine because how the hell does your hair grow so fast,” commented one fan.
“Damn that beard 😭😭😭,” wrote another, with a third adding: “His voice, his hair, his beard, his eyes, his tattoos, I just adore him.”
In the video, the singer wore cream-colored pants and a matching long-sleeved shirt with rolled up sleeves, showing off his heavily tattooed arms.
Sitting in front of a large painting of a boxer, Malik looked away from the camera as he belted out the song “Room Under the Stairs” from his 2024 album.
Before the release of his record, the “Stargazing” singer barely posted anything on social media and rarely attended Hollywood events.
However, the former “X Factor” star made his first public appearance in almost five years at Paris Fashion Week in January.
Malik, who now spends most of his time on his farm in Pennsylvania, sat front row at the Kenzo fashion show alongside Pharrell Williams, former Christian Dior CEO Sidney Toledano and singer Rita Ora.
The pop star looked chic in his navy patterned tweed suit with a white undershirt, which he left slightly open to show off his tattooed torso and neck.
Later in the week, Malik also appeared at the Loewe Fall/Winter 2024 men’s fashion show and the Valentino Fall/Winter 2024-2025 men’s fashion show.
However, after the release and promotion of his album, Malik again withdrew from the public eye.
The singer has a three-year-old daughter, Khai, with his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, with whom he dated on and off for years before finally breaking up in 2021.
Although the supermodel has moved on with Bradley Cooper, Malik has not publicly dated anyone since the split.
