Drake Surprise releases three new songs, including “Supersoak,” on Instagram

Drake is back. He hasn’t been away for that long, but still. The Toronto rapper surprised fans everywhere by releasing three new songs on his Instagram burner account. The songs include the unreleased Playboi Carti collaboration, “No Face” and “Circadian Rhythm.” The latter is considered a follow-up to the rapper’s 2013 song “The Language.” The biggest reveal, however, is that Drake has finally dropped a CDQ version of the highly anticipated song “Supersoak (SOD).” We knew it was coming, we just didn’t know it would happen so soon.

Drake has previously teamed up with Playboi Carti for “Pain 1993.” However, the vibe of “No Face” is much angrier and more aggressive than their first collaboration. It definitely sounds more like a Playboi Carti song with a Drake feature simply added to it. Whether that’s good or bad depends on how you feel about Carti. “Circadian Rhythm” will get the least attention because it doesn’t have a feature or any drama. Still, it might be the best song of all. “Circadian Rhythm” has a great groove and feels the most like a Drake song that goes back in time. You’ll see why he made it a sequel to “The Language.”

Drake has officially removed Lil Yachty from “Supersoak”

“Supersoak” is the big story here, though. Kai Cenat originally introduced the song during a live stream. Lil Yachty was featured on the original version. Yachty then went on the Flagrant Podcast and claimed the song would never be released due to a sample clearance issue. THEN Drake’s people claimed the song would officially drop. Except Lil Yachty wouldn’t be featured on it. That’s what we meant when we alluded to “Drama” earlier. The Drake and Yachty saga isn’t even about Soulja Boy, and he took exception to Drake borrowing his “Supersoak” catchphrase. It feels like Drake and Soulja will never patch up their beef again.

Still, “Supersoak” is a hit. It has an incredibly catchy instrumental. It also has a Drake flow that is guaranteed to get stuck in people’s heads. There are rumors that the rapper is already filming a music video for the song, which all but confirms that it is his next big single. We haven’t yet given any information on what happened between Drake and Lil Yachty. Still, fans can rejoice that we finally have the “Supersoak” song. Hopefully they all end up streaming soon.
