Drake hits back at rappers who insulted him in his new song “No Face”

Drake is keeping things rolling. The dust has barely settled after the rapper dropped “100 GIGS,” and now we have three new songs. Much of the attention will be on “Supersoak,” the anticipated Lil Yachty leak that no longer features Lil Yachty. Still, “No Face” has the most intriguing bars. Drake and Playboi Carti trade a hard rage beat. Carti does his thing, as always. Drake does, however, take the time to name the rappers who have insulted him in 2024. It’s a long list, and the Toronto superstar decides to throw a few lines over them all.

We’ve heard Drake go into detail before. “Push Ups” and “Family Matters” were examples of him insulting each of his enemies in detail. He found time to poke fun at The Weeknd, Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, and of course, Kendrick Lamar. “No Face” takes a different approach. The 6 God decides to stay vague and hint at what’s to come. “I’m just so happy,” he raps. “These n**gas that been jealous and bottled up that shit, they finally got to show it.” The second line, however, is more ominous. “I’m over the moon, yeah, see you guys soon,” Drake adds. This isn’t the only time on “No Face” that The 6 God decides to address what’s been going on between him and the rest of the rap scene.

Drake tells his enemies he will see them “soon”

There’s been a lot of talk about Drake’s declining ability to make hits. The “Drake stimulus package” that propelled R&B and hip-hop for over a decade has been labeled outdated. The rapper doesn’t particularly like that attitude, reminding everyone that he helped the likes of Ross, Rocky, and The Weeknd break through. “That’s the sh*t my daddy raised me on. N**gas got pissed off by the features I skated on,” he spits. “I gotta know, I gotta know. How you get pissed off by the n**ga you hate?” Drake is planning something big, and the majority of his verse is aimed at that something without ever revealing what it is.

The rest of Drake’s first verse confirms this. He even references the advice that people like OVO 40 have given him behind closed doors. “40 keeps saying it’s time to be patient,” he explains. “It’s so many people we turn the tables on. Capo has plans, but we’ll save that for later. Hush will keep saying they know they did it wrong.” The 6 God is definitely back on his subliminal game. We’re curious and excited to see where the rest of Drake’s 2024 goes.
