Another posted: “Beautiful show but the ending was so heartbreaking.”

In the series, Kate Mularkey and Tallulah “Tully” Hart form a friendship in Seattle after becoming neighbors on a street called Firefly Lane at the age of 14.

Katherine Heigl plays Tully, while Kate is played by Sarah Chalke, who rose to fame and popularity through her portrayal of Elliot Reed-Dorian in Scrubs.

Also starring in the series are Ben Lawson as Johnny Ryan, Kate’s ex-husband, and Beau Garrett as Cloud, Tully’s free-spirited mother with a drug problem.

Fans immediately emphasized how sad the show was, as the ending of the series was tear-jerking: Kate dies of a rare form of breast cancer.

The finale takes place ten years later at Kate’s funeral, which Tully almost misses due to her broken heart.

However, Johnny gives her a box that Kate has prepared for her, including her book and an iPod with her favorite songs, which gives her the courage to go to the service.
