The Frozen Franchise was so successful that Disney is now developing two sequels. After Frozen (2013) earned $1.28 billion and Frozen 2 (2019) took an even bigger share at the box office, grossing $1.45 billion. The musical franchise has become a multimedia hit, with characters appearing in television shows, musicals, video games, and more. The main attraction remains the movies, but it will be years before it returns to theaters, as the upcoming Frozen III will be released in 2027. Fortunately Frozen IV might not be far away.
