Uzbekistan and South Korea sign payment integration agreement between HUMO and BC Card

Uzbekistan’s National Interbank Processing Center (HUMO) and South Korea’s BC Card have signed an agreement to integrate their payment systems. Azernews reports.

Through this agreement, cardholders of both systems can easily conduct transactions with their domestic cards in Korea and Uzbekistan. HUMO said that this partnership will enhance international relations in the field of cashless payments and bring more convenience to HUMO and BC Card users.

Maqsad Mukhitdinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Interbank Processing Center, said: “This cooperation supports the further development of international payment relations and provides HUMO and BC card holders with the opportunity to use their local cards in both countries.”

In addition, Uzbekistan has begun the privatization of the National Interbank Processing Center (HUMO) and has offered 100 percent of the state-owned shares for public negotiation in accordance with Article 22 of the Uzbek Law on Privatization of State Property.

The National Interbank Processing Center has the necessary license from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan to operate as a payment system operator.
