It’s been a long road since then, with countless updates and improvements over the past two years. But now Core Keeper will finally release version 1.0 in the next few days. To celebrate the occasion, there’s a tasty discount and a free trial, as well as early access to the anticipated update – but time is running out.
Core Keeper is a survival game that lets you explore a stunning cave filled with creatures, relics, and of course resources to mine, similar to classics like Minecraft and Terraria. Drawn to a mysterious artifact, you find yourself trapped deep underground, and you must dig, build, craft, and even farm to survive and solve the mystery.

Core Keeper 1.0 will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox on Tuesday, August 27, bringing story closure, new and customizable world creation, more tools and items, and finally rounding out the experience.

The Core Keeper free weekend runs from Thursday, August 22nd to Monday, August 26th, so you don’t have much time left to either dive into the classic world generation or try out the amazing new 1.0 worlds in advance. But beware: If you start the game during this free trial period, the developer recommends that you choose a 1.0 world, so if you buy the game, you can continue playing with the new content after the full release without having to start over again.
