Indianapolis 500 has 21 drivers who have won multiple times
Here are the drivers who earned more than a spot on the Borg-Warner Trophy with their victory at the Indianapolis 500.
The IndyCar Series has a surprise in store: it leads the field for today’s 110-lap race on the 12-turn, 3.166-kilometer Portland International Raceway.
Santino Ferrucci, whose place with AJ Foyt Racing is not assured for 2025, is on pole for the first time in IndyCar after outpacing Will Power and series points leader Alex Palou in qualifying. It is also Foyt Racing’s first pole since 2014, when Takuma Sato took P1 at Detroit’s Belle Isle.
Three drivers – Kyle Kirkwood (qualifying position 5), Graham Rahal (6th) and David Malukas (19th) – were demoted by six starting positions due to unauthorized engine changes.
Nathan Brown is your best follower for all things IndyCar. Here’s what to expect today.
Part of the process: Thanks to the dynamics of Foyt Racing, Ferrucci reaches pole in Portland
