Zara Tindallhas cemented her status as a true style icon. From her bold use of color to her treasure trove of quirky hats, Princess Anne’s daughter never fails to impress.
And the same goes for her stunning hair. Over the years, we’ve seen the mother of three play around with her bright blonde locks, experimenting with mixed lengths, short haircuts, and trendy bangs.
While the Queen continues to impress us with her style choices, keep scrolling to discover Zara’s stunning hair evolution over the years…
1998: Pixie cut
Zara was the quintessential ’90s It Girl! For much of her teenage years, the royal sported a bold pixie cut with layered bangs that framed her face. Pictured here at the Queen Mother’s birthday in 1998.
2001: The ultimate harvest
In 2001, Zara dared to try a new cut and opted for a shorter look with side-swept bangs. Princess Anne’s daughter was obviously a big fan of the pixie cut and wore her locks short for several years before daring to make a change.
2003: Smooth Bob
After experimenting with short hair, the rider grew her locks into a bob in the early 2000s. She was seen at the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival with a super-sleek hairstyle, with layered sections at the front for more movement and structure.
2007: Fabulous Pony
2007 was the year of the bangs. Zara enhanced her look with sweeping bangs that reached down to her eyebrows.
2009: Long and lush
In 2009, Zara continued to experiment with longer locks. Here she is seen with a sleek and bouncy ponytail with plenty of bounce. She kept her voluminous bangs until 2011, when she slowly started to comb her mane into a side parting.
2015: The return of the bobsleigh
Zara and her bob made a comeback in 2015. Unlike her previous style, she opted for a shorter, chin-length cut with choppy lengths. It’s a look she’s returned to several times – and we know why!
2022: Disheveled waves
In recent years, Zara has been giving her hair a little extra oomph with waves. While the star usually opts for straight hair, the former Olympian has also been spotted with glamorous Hollywood-style waves. Yes from us!
