AEW’s locker room is in better condition than last year

Tony Khan says AEW’s locker room at AEW Collision is in much better shape than it was a year ago.

At the media scrum following the AEW All In show, Tony Khan commented on AEW’s creative process. He emphasized how many people are involved and compared AEW to a sports team. He also noted that there is a more relaxed atmosphere at Collision now than last year.

“Last year we had just launched Collision,” said Tony Khan. “I honestly think it’s easier to get things done behind the scenes at Collision than it was a year ago. I think it’s a much easier process between the two shows than it was a year ago, I think the dressing room is in a much better state than it was a year ago as you can see when we came here compared to what happened here a year ago. I think it’s a much easier job for me. Because I had to deal with the people at Collision last year and it’s a much easier meeting process to put the TV together than it was a year ago at this time. We obviously had a lot of things to deal with last year when we went to Wembley and that obviously had an impact.”

Tony Khan didn’t specifically name CM Punk, but Punk was heavily involved in AEW Collision. His return coincided with the start of the show and he was arguably the face of Collision until he was fired after a backstage incident with Jack Perry at AEW All In.
