The Maui Arts & Cultural Center has announced “Forest Flutters: A Bird-Day Party,” a free event in partnership with Honolulu Theatre for Youth (HTY) aimed at families and their children ages two to seven.
“This enchanting and educational experience invites keiki to explore Hawaii’s forests and learn about native birds in a multisensory adventure filled with smells, touch, movement and music,” the MACC described.
The MACC is hosting two performances of the show at the McCoy Studio Theater on Sunday, September 22nd at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Advance registration is required and is now available at MauiArts.org.
A show by Danica Rosengren and the HTY Ensemble, Forest Flutters: A Bird-Day Party promises to engage all the senses and provide young viewers with an immersive and immersive experience that fosters a love of Hawaii’s native flora and fauna.
The MACC will collect donations for the Maui Food Bank before each performance. Because the need continues, patrons are asked to bring needed items for those affected by the wildfires. Donation containers will be located near the McCoy Theater entrance gates.
