The PSVR 2 price has just reached its lowest ever – now just AU9

After weeks of staring at the lowest prices in the US and UK, Australians are finally getting their own tempting PSVR 2 deal. The PlayStation VR2 standalone and PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle have just hit their lowest prices we’ve ever seen Down Under. If you’ve been waiting, now’s the perfect opportunity to dive into the world of virtual reality.

You wouldn’t know it, given Sony’s general silence on its second-generation PSVR, but it’s one of the best VR headsets you can buy, and if you’ve always wanted to give it a try, the AU$330.95 discount means there’s literally (not virtually) never been a better time to do so.

The PlayStation VR 2 was only released in February 2023, and we wouldn’t normally see a PlayStation console discounted this much so quickly… but we’re not too surprised. According to Android Central, and based on discounts at Firesprite and London Studio – the studios that Horizon Call of the Mountain And PlayStation VR worlds – as well as minimal game releases, Sony has all but given up on its VR console after acceptable sales figures.

Thankfully, PlayStation games aren’t essential to having fun with the PSVR 2, especially at this price. While we did have some issues with the battery life of the Sense controllers, the accuracy they offer is excellent. Add to that the easy setup, incredible image quality, and sharp responsiveness, and you’ve got an incredible VR gaming experience for under AU$550.

And while Sony may not necessarily want to develop new games for the company, there are plenty of games waiting for you to try out, such as Gran Turismo 7, No Man’s Sky And The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners which offer more than enough to ensure you get your money’s worth.

But that’s not all. Just earlier this month, Sony released a PlayStation VR 2 app on Steam that lets you expand your PSVR 2 game library by thousands using the PlayStation VR 2 PC Adapter.

The PSVR 2 didn’t sell as well as Sony had hoped and so they stopped developing new games, but according to The Shortcut, sales are increasing due to the recent discount promotions we’ve seen overseas. At this price, the PSVR 2 is a must-have for any gamer with a PS5 or PC looking for top-notch VR gaming on a budget.
