You can get an electric vehicle wallbox charger for less than half the price at Fisker’s liquidation

Fisker is selling its remaining inventory of Wallbox Pulsar Plus EV chargers at a deep discount as part of its bankruptcy auction sale.

Electric car maker Fisker filed for bankruptcy in June and is currently in liquidation, selling off its remaining inventory to raise cash to keep owners of its Ocean SUV mobile.

The Fisker Ocean was plagued with problems in its early versions, with many of these problems being attributed to incomplete vehicle software.

But now there is a ray of hope: the Fisker brand Pulsar Plus wallbox is available for $249 (the regular price was $549).

We’ve seen other deals on the Pulsar Plus wallbox before, but we had to sneak various coupons to get them, and even then $449 was the best price we saw, so this is much better.

The charger is the result of a 2022 partnership between Fisker and Wallbox to simplify charger installation for Fisker owners.

The Wallbox Pulsar Plus is a well-reviewed charger known for its slim/small size and several smart features. One of the few downsides is that at one point it was more expensive than some of the competition – but that’s no longer the case if you can grab one from Fisker.

Best of all, the charger is easy to install because it comes with a NEMA 14-50 plug, so if you already have one of those outlets in your garage, you can just plug it in without having to call an electrician. While many owners have no problem leaving a mobile plug-style cord plugged into a 14-50 outlet at all times, some prefer the cleanliness of a wall box. Plus, you can use two wall boxes on the same circuit to share power on either side of the same garage if you’re a household with two electric vehicles.

If you don’t have a 14-50 outlet near where you park, you’ll still have to pay for installation costs (or hire an electrician uncle to do it for you in exchange for pizza and beer), but $249 is pretty much the best price you’ll ever find for an EV charger yourself. Typically, Level 2 home chargers like this one cost around $500.

So if you don’t mind the flashy Fisker brand (or are a fan of failed companies), stop by and grab a bargain while stocks last.
