A woman who asked her hairdresser for Sabrina Carpenter-style bangs was shocked when she saw the result.
Her sister Dana – who posts under @danadelaney0 – uploaded a video telling the story and showing some before and after shots.
She wrote: “My sister wanted to get bangs and I tried to get her to stop.”
Dana then uploaded a photo that her sister had shown the hairdresser, showing a blonde woman with voluminous curtain fancy bangs – similar to the one seen on Espresso singer Sabrina.
The sister then showed the selfies that her sister had sent her after leaving the salon – and unfortunately, they didn’t look alike at all.
Instead of letting her hair fall on either side, the woman had grown full bangs that weren’t even the same length.
Dana clearly saw the funny side of the incident when she named a number of celebrities who she thought had a similar hair fail.
One of them was Jim Carrey’s character Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber.
Dana added: “@Sabrina Carpenter please pay for my sister’s chop.”
Her video received over 52,000 likes and people were quick to share their thoughts.
One person suggested that the hairdresser did this out of revenge and said: “Did she talk to the stylist’s husband for whatever reason?!”
A second added: “Time to change stylists.”
And a third commented: “When I saw this last night I was literally thinking about making the same kind of bang.
“CRISIS AVERTED.”
If you’re dying to get Sabrina Carpenter’s ’70s-style bangs, a hair pro has revealed what to ask your hairdresser for.
Monique McMahon, founder of Que Colour, told Elle: “Be sure to ask for bangs that aren’t too thick and blocky.”
“Sabrina’s bangs are quite playful, with thin, feather-like ends.
“Ask to blend your layers from the bangs to the face, with layers that frame the face and accentuate your cheekbones and jawline.”
