CLEVELAND, Ohio — Motorists in Northeast Ohio should be aware of possible travel disruptions as cleanup efforts continue following severe weather earlier this week.
In Geauga County, a section of U.S. 322 in Chester Township remains closed due to debris on the highway, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Meanwhile, ODOT has released its updated list of detours and road closures due to ongoing road construction projects in the region.
The following ramps may be closed from 9pm tonight until 5am Saturday. Not all ramps will be closed at the same time.
I-90 East on-ramp to I-71 North. The detour runs from I-90 eastbound to I-77 northbound.
I-71 North Exit to Fulton RoadThe detour will take I-71 north to West 14th Street.
Fulton Road ramp I-71 NorthThe detour runs via I-71 South to West 130th Street and then to I-71 North.
I-71 North Exit to West 25th StreetThe detour will take I-71 north to West 14th Street.
West 25th Street ramp to I-71 NorthThe detour will take I-71 north to West 14th Street.
I-480 westbound, exit ramp to Grayton Road will be closed. The detour will take you via Clague Road to I-480 east to Grayton Road.
I-71 South Ramp to I-480 West is reduced to one track.
Other new closures and detours in Cuyahoga County:
The I-90 westbound exit to Columbia Road is closed from Monday 22:00 to Tuesday 05:00 due to the maintenance of the traffic diversion.
I-480 westbound at Transportation Boulevard will be reduced to one lane from 10 p.m. today until 2 p.m. Saturday.
I-480 Westbound (Valley View Bridge) Express Lanes is closed from Friday 22:00 to Saturday 14:00.
Westway Drive via I-90 is closed from Monday through mid-September for bridge repairs. The detour is via Wager Road.
I-271 southbound ramp to US 422 eastbound is closed today from 8:00 p.m. to Monday 6:00 a.m. due to bridge repairs.
US 422 west across the Aurora River On August 16, there will be lane restrictions starting at 6:00 a.m. due to bridge repairs.
I-480 east to I-271 north/US 422 east From August 16, 21:00, to August 19, 05:00, various lane restrictions will apply.
I-90 under Ohio 44 in Concord Township Due to bridge painting, various lane restrictions and traffic pattern changes will occur until October.
Ohio 283 between Ohio 44 and Temple Avenue will be closed from August 19 to September 2 for sewer line replacement. The detour will be via Temple Avenue to Ohio 44 and then to Ohio 283.
US 6 between Rockefeller Road and Bishop Road will be restricted to westbound traffic only from Saturday until the beginning of September due to the renewal of the asphalt. The diversion for eastbound traffic will run from Bishop Road via Eddy Road to Rockefeller Road.
Ohio 2, just west of the Ohio 58 interchange Single lane closures will be in place on the Murray Ridge Road bridge for a minor rehabilitation project. Traffic will be maintained at all times. Estimated completion is September.
US 6 in Lorain from West 21st Street to Arkansas Avenue Due to the redesign of the roadway, single-lane roads will be closed. Completion is expected in December.
Ohio 162 from Butler Road to Firestone Road Single-lane roads will be closed for asphalting work. Traffic will be maintained by traffic police. The expected completion is planned for this month.
Ohio 303 on the railroad tracks between Pitts Road and Quarry Road will be closed Monday for railroad crossing repairs. The detour for eastbound motorists is Ohio 303 to Ohio 511 north to US 20 east to Ohio 58 south to Ohio 303 and vice versa. Estimated completion is August 17.
Ohio 511 between Betts Road and Austin Road will be closed Monday for culvert replacement. The detour for northbound motorists is Ohio 511 to Ohio 18, west to Ohio 60, north to Ohio 303, east to Ohio 511 and vice versa. Estimated completion is August 23.
Ohio 611 in Lorain from US 6 to Colorado Avenue Single-lane roads will be closed due to asphalting work. Traffic will be maintained at all times. Expected completion is in October.
Ohio 18 between Ohio 83 and Bryenton Road To complete the project, single-lane roads will be closed for 225 days. Traffic will be maintained by temporary traffic lights. Completion is expected in November.
Take Ohio 83 from the Outlet Mall to the Lodi Corporation border Due to asphalting work, single-lane roads will be closed. Traffic will be maintained by traffic police. The expected completion date is September.
Ohio 162 from Ohio 94 to Medina Line Road Single-lane roads will be closed for asphalting work. Traffic will be maintained by traffic police as needed. Estimated completion is scheduled for this month.
I-271 from I-71 to the Summit County line will have intermittent lane closures for a repaving project. Crews will begin repairs on the Ohio 94 ramps and traffic will be maintained using half-width construction, maintaining a minimum 12-foot roadway width. Estimated completion is October.
I-277/US 224 East and West Various lane restrictions will be in effect between I-76/Kenmore Leg and I-77 starting Monday.
From 19 to 28 August the following closures will apply due to new asphalting work:
I-277/US 224 westbound between I-77 and I-76/Kenmore Leg is closed for bridge repairs and repaving. The detour runs via I-77 north to I-76 west to I-76/Kenmore Leg.
The ramp from I-77 northbound to I-277/US 224 westbound will be closed. The detour will run from I-77 northbound to I-76 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg.
The ramp from Main Street to I-277 westbound will be closed. The detour will run via Ohio 619 West to State Street and then to I-76 West.
The Waterloo Road ramp to I-277 westbound will be closed. The detour will take Ohio 619 westbound to the I-76 westbound ramp at Wooster Road.
Brush Road over Ohio I-77 will be closed from Wednesday through the end of August due to bridge repairs. The detour runs from Brecksville Road via Boston Mills Road to Black Road.
Ohio 303 under I-77 will be closed every night between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from August 19 through August 26 due to bridge support placement. The detour will be from Brecksville Road to Wheatley Road to I-271.
Ohio 303 eastbound under I-77 will be closed closed from August 21st to the end of November due to bridge construction. The detour runs via Brecksville Road via Wheatley Road to I-271.
The ramp from Glenwood Avenue to Ohio 8 southbound will be closed from August 19th to the end of August between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. The detour runs from Glenwood Avenue via Howard Street to Tallmadge Avenue.
