Ford’s Bronco Sport will see substantial changes for the upcoming 2025 model year. The small and wired-only infotainment system will be upgraded to one with a big, beautiful screen, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now standard, so you don’t need an aftermarket dongle. The big news is a new top-of-the-line trim package called Sasquatch. It includes beefy tires, a front skid plate, and all the extras I just listed. The new price has to be insanely high, right?

I am the happy owner of a ’23 Badlands with almost all the extras. My Bronco Sport has upgraded tires (Falken WildPeaks), sunroof, B&O audio, and fancy seats. The only option my Badlands doesn’t have is the adaptive cruise control package, which I don’t miss one bit. Conveniently, I paid exactly list price for this story. No dealer markup and no discount. My 2023 Badlands was priced at $45,015. That price included destination and delivery fees.

Ford released the build tool for the 2025 Bronco Sport today, and I immediately used it to calculate the cost of a new Badlands and see how much more I would have to pay to get a two-year-newer, higher-trim Sasquatch Badlands. I carefully configured the vehicle and found that the price is now $45,965, including the dealer processing fee, so the additional cost for the extra content is $950.

What about inflation?
According to the inflation-adjusted website data.bls.gov, an item that cost $45,015 in 2023 should cost $46,318 today. So, adjusted for inflation, it seems like the two-year-newer Bronco Sport hasn’t increased in price at all, even when you add the Sasquatch trim.

Conclusion: Ford sticks to its pricing policy
My conclusion from this exercise is that Ford has had a pretty good handle on price increases over the last two model years. The price difference seems to be only 2%, and that includes more features than my Badlands had.
