Three things I learned from our 2024 Fantasy Draft Kit

The fantasy football season is here – I finished a draft over the weekend and have two more to do before the 2024 season starts.

Between vacations, family reunions, and some other summer projects, the last few months have been pretty hectic, and honestly, I just can’t keep up with everything that’s happening in the offseason like I used to. Thankfully, I didn’t have to this season, thanks to Sean Koerner and Chris Raybon’s 2024 Fantasy Football Draft Kit here on FantasyLabs.

With a number of tools and content waiting for me, including player rankings, projections, cheat sheet generators, and more, I quickly got the hang of things and am ready to dominate my fantasy drafts.

Strategy for the 2024 Fantasy Football Draft

Be balanced with the turnaround from round 1.

In his 2024 Fantasy Draft Guide, Raybon specifically walks you through his draft strategy for this season.

He will guide you round by round (rounds 1-6) and then position by position.

I can’t give too much away here, but here is a short excerpt from his must-read article:

If you’re in a 12-team league and you draft 11th or 12th, I think it’s best to go balanced in the first two rounds, drafting a RB and a WR. There is a significant drop in value at both positions after the top 10, but the balance allows you to more easily take advantage of the value that comes in rounds 3-4 and beyond, which will be crucial since drafting late usually puts you at a disadvantage in terms of expected fantasy points.

The best fantasy sleepers

Ertz can deliver a low TE1 value.

Finding the right underrated fantasy football insider picks can make the difference in winning your league. Raybon analyzes his favorite fantasy insider picks for 2024, including Zach Ertz and nine others, to help you do just that.

This is what he had to say about Ertz: Rookie second-round pick Ben Sinnott left before Ertz, but Ertz has played as the Commanders’ TE1 all offseason and will keep that role as long as he’s healthy, given new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury’s track record as any indicator. As the Cardinals’ head coach in 2022, Kingsbury also entered the season with a tight end depth chart that includes both Ertz and a talented second-round rookie (Trey McBride), and Ertz was better than McBride (575-132) through the first nine games before getting injured in Week 10...Don’t be surprised if Ertz delivers consistent TE1 value in the lower price segment from there.

Upside Ratings for Running Backs

Top candidates for RB handcuffs.

In what has become an annual fixture, fantasy expert Sean Koerner delivers his running back upside ratings in a comprehensive table and nearly 6,000 words of in-depth analysis. It’s too good to give away even a bit of it. But trust me when I say Koerner knows what he’s talking about—he’s FantasyPros’ four-time most accurate fantasy football rankings expert for a reason.
