Flau’jae Johnson and Lil Wayne give it their all in the new music video

Flau’jae Johnson has enlisted veteran rapper Lil Wayne for her new song “Came Out A Best.” Johnson, who just released her debut project “Best of Both Worlds” earlier this year, has just released a new single with the New Orleans legend.

Johnson and Lil Tunechi reminisced about Johnson’s time on the national championship-winning Louisiana State University (LSU) women’s basketball team in their new music video. In the music video, Johnson and Lil Wayne celebrate with their NCAA trophy, which LSU won last year and which made the franchise its first champion.

The music video features Johnson at basketball practice with a cameo appearance from her coach Kim Mulkey. Lil Wayne joins later in the music video and Johnson continues to highlight last year’s big win against the Iowa Hawkeyes. She also gives a shout out to LSU fans, her teammate Angel Reese, and Joe Burrow and Shaquille O’Neal, who are also LSU alumni.

Johnson’s “Best Of Both Worlds” was released in June and features Wayne, NLE Choppa and 2Rare.

“I love combining both of my talents. Best of Both Worlds shows that you don’t have to choose one path – you can excel in multiple areas,” Flau’jae said, according to Complex. “This project reflects who I am – a basketball player, a rapper, and someone who doesn’t want to be pigeonholed. I hope my fans can feel the passion and dedication I put into each song.”

The point guard signed a contract with Roc Nation in 2019.

However, she does not give up on her dream of making it to the WNBA.

“I want to be a competitor and play against the best of the best,” Johnson said of his plans after college.

“It’s still a long way off,” Johnson continued, “but it’s always been my dream to go to the WNBA because I knew it was a league I could really compete in.”
