There’s no denying that 2023 was the year of the redhead revival. From Shay Mitchell to Billie Eilish and Megan Fox, everyone has tried the shade. But new year, new it hair color. We’re here to report that we think we’ve found it. And that is: strawberry blonde. How do we know, you might ask? Well, as if it wasn’t enough that Millie Bobby Brown wore this hair color this week, none other than Rihanna just made sure it’s now trending.
The Fenty Beauty founder surprised us all when she embraced her blonde hair color late last year, but since then, things seem to have warmed up a bit (literally). Riri just stepped out in India with a strawberry blonde hair transformation. Check it out:
The change is subtle, but you can see that warmer tones have been added to the mix compared to the platinum blonde shade we saw her wearing before. Suffice it to say, we’re entering Rihanna’s redhead era 2.0.
It takes us back to 2010, when “Only Girl (In The World)” was playing nonstop, BlackBerrys were still popular and Rihanna’s hair was the hottest shade of fiery red. Ah, those were the days.
While this latest plunge into the red pool isn’t quite as drastic as the one fourteen years ago (wow, we feel old), we’re still hoping that this hair change also has the potential for new music in the making. I mean, a girl can dream, right?
