Aldi’s hairdryer looks like the Dyson Supersonic – but costs £14.99

The middle aisle at Aldi is the ideal place for great-value beauty products – whether you’re looking for an alternative to Baccarat Rouge 540 or a bonding hair treatment that rivals Olaplex’s cult-favorite collection.

Now back to the middle: Aldi’s sold-out ionic hair dryer is back in stock. While we haven’t tried the device and can’t comment on its hair-drying performance, at first glance it looks like it could rival Dyson’s supersonic hair dryer.

The Dyson hair dryer has been named the best luxury hair dryer, with our tester praising it as a “top choice for top-level styling” that offers “real power for fast drying times”. It’s become a real cult beauty device, so it’s hardly surprising that Aldi has launched an affordable alternative that costs just £14.99.

This product is sure to sell like hotcakes when it returns to mid-shelf shelves on August 11, so here’s everything you need to know about Aldi’s Visage Ionic Hairdryer.

(Aldi)

Aldi’s ionic hair dryer is designed to deliver salon-like results, using a concentrated airflow to dry your hair efficiently. Similar to the Dyson Supersonic, it has three heat settings and two speed settings, while a cool setting is included to prevent heat damage.

You can also use this cold air shot to hold your hair in place after styling. Although it doesn’t appear to include any styling attachments (the Dyson Supersonic does), the model is corded and comes in blue or pink.

If you would like to get your hands on the ionic hairdryer, you should head to your local Aldi store from August 11th.
