WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – William Joseph Alexander, 68, of Warren, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born on December 6, 1955, in Newport, Rhode Island, to the late George P. Alexander Jr. and the late Helen Ann Sylvia Alexander.

William graduated from Rogers High School in 1972.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
He was a musician, loved music and taught others.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Reger Alexander of Warren, Ohio, whom he married on May 23, 2015; his son, Joe (Cristy) Hollenbeck of Tacoma, Washington; his stepsons, Robert Petrus Jr. and Tristan Petrus; his sisters, Maryanne McDonald of Rhode Island, Jane Back of Ohio, and Susan Welch of Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Diane Bartel of RI and Amanda (Robert) Byron; his brothers-in-law, Jared (Karina) Reger and Matthew Reger; his father-in-law, Dannie Reger; his dog, Sebastian Alexander; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Alexander and his sisters Kathleen Maynard and Patricia Raffa.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The organization has been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
