Amazon Android Days Sale 2024: Save on unlocked phones, tablets and more

Table of contents

UPDATE: August 28, 2024, 1:50 p.m. EDT This story has been updated with additional Android Days deals on smartphone accessories.

September promises to be an iOS-centric month, but as August nears its final stages, Amazon is all about Android.

Through Wednesday night (August 28), the retail giant is offering deals on all things Android—think unlocked phones, tablets, accessories, and more—as part of a 48-hour “Android Days” sale. (This appears to be the second time Amazon has hosted such an event.) To put it bluntly, it mostly feels like an excuse for Amazon to tout some of its ongoing deals on Google’s latest gadgets that have been floating around since pre-order days. But hey, a saving is a saving.

Best deal on an unlocked phone

Why we like it:

Read Mashable’s full review of the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The 6.8-inch Pixel 9 Pro XL is the largest phone in Google’s new Pixel 9 lineup, and also the one with the longest battery life we’ve ever tested: It lasted nearly 19 hours on a single charge in our TikTok test. Tech editor Kim Gedeon also said it has better cameras and a nicer display than last year’s Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. It’s a freshly crowned Mashable Choice Award winner, and all configurations come with a free $200 Amazon gift card (starting at $1,099 for the 128GB version). Choose from four colors: obsidian, hazelnut, porcelain, and rose quartz.

Best tablet deal

Why we like it:

Mashable contributor RJ Andersen called the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ a “fantastic tablet” thanks to its sleek design, performance, long battery life, and top-notch build quality. (It’s waterproof And It comes with an S Pen for no extra charge.) It received a 4.4/5 rating from us. At Amazon’s Android Days event, the base silver model was discounted to $479.99, a 20% savings and $10 off its lowest price yet. The other colors cost $20 more.

Other tablet offers:

Best Chromebook deal

Why we like it:

Oddly enough, this is the only Chromebook that was featured in Android Days. (Chromebooks can run Android apps.) With that crappy Intel Celeron processor and 64GB of eMMC storage, it’s by no means an impressive laptop. But for $190, it works as a basic, no-frills laptop for schoolwork or sending emails. If it helps, this seems like the cheapest price ever.

Best Smartwatch Deal

Why we like it:

Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch 7 is equipped with a built-in blood oxygen sensor, a blood pressure monitor and a sleep apnea sensor – three features that you habit can be found in the current generation of Apple Watch. It is the best wearable for health-conscious users and Amazon gives you a free $40 gift card when you buy it there. The Bluetooth-only version starts at $299.99, while the LTE model starts at $349.99.

Best deal on earphones

Why we like them:

In another random deal, Amazon is giving you a bonus $30 gift card if you pre-order the new Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 before their September 26 release. (This product will almost certainly be available even after Android Days officially ends.) Announced alongside the Pixel 9 series at Made By Google 2024, these are Google’s first earbuds with AI chatbot Gemini built in. They also have a sleeker, supposedly more comfortable design with a new “twist-to-adjust stabilizer” that helps keep them in place.
