Claudia Schiffer’s teenage daughter Cosima Vaughn inherited the iconic blonde hair

Claudia Schiffer’s teenage daughter Cosima Vaughn has not only inherited her mother’s penchant for striking blonde hair, but also her chic fashion sense. Yesterday, the rarely seen mother-daughter duo was spotted shopping in Manhattan.

Claudia and Cosima were spotted leaving streetwear headquarters Kith in SoHo on Tuesday afternoon. The German-born beauty went first, wearing a printed sundress with a plunging neckline and playful puff sleeves. She accessorized her look with a woven bucket bag, gladiator-style sandals and white sunglasses. Cosima, 14, meanwhile, let her Gen-Z instincts guide her look. She wore baggy, low-rise jeans, which she paired with a brown belt. She then slipped on a navy blue T-shirt and a trendy pair of pink ballet flats. Naturally, both Claudia and Cosima wore their long, blonde hair tousled.

Cosima is the youngest of Claudia’s three children. With her husband, director Matthew Vaughn, she also has Caspar (21) and Clementine (19). The famously reclusive family normally leads a quiet life in Vaughn’s native England.

Claudia, who rose to stardom on the catwalks of the ’90s, has spoken openly in the past about how motherhood made her take a step back in her career efforts. “I come from a big family and I always wanted to have children of my own,” she said in 2012, shortly after giving birth to Cosima. “Before I met Matthew, I worked nonstop. But when we got together, a whole new world suddenly seemed to open up for me.”

In a 2023 essay for The GuardianClaudia spoke about her relationship with her two daughters, who she said treat her extensive designer archive like a “vintage store.”

“I have kept so many pieces over the years, including my Valentino wedding dress,” wrote the supermodel. “My daughters are now starting to wear my vintage pieces too, but in their own style. I love seeing how they put outfits together. Sharing, swapping and favoring clothes seems to be second nature to my daughters’ generation.”
