Coronation Street star Colson Smith has undergone a hair transplant and shared the results on Instagram.
The actor, best known for his role as Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, posted a thumbs up photo on his page after the procedure and admitted that he has been considering a transplant for several years.
“A little different than my usual hairstyle… I had a hair transplant on Monday,” wrote Colson. “A transplant has been on my agenda since I first noticed my hair loss at age 22!”

“Losing my hair at such a young age was difficult for me to cope with. I immediately feel SOOO much better and more confident that I have taken a step towards my luscious strawberry blonde locks.”
The star went on to explain that he met his surgeon last year who helped him “understand” his hair loss as well as the future of his hair, adding: “I feel so lucky to be embarking on my hair journey now with such a talented and friendly team here in Manchester.”
“No more comb-overs and baseball caps. Here’s to a future of crisp hair!” Colson concluded.

At the beginning of the year, the actor took part in the new edition of Celebrity Big Brother and took third place.
Speaking about returning to Corrie straight after, he told Good Morning Britain after the series finished: “I literally went straight out of the house, slept in London, had the wrap party, got in the car, had the script right in front of me and was ready to go back on air.”
“But today I only have one queue. So, you know, I can’t complain today, they’re slowly making me queue again in Weatherfield. The queue is: ‘How old are you?’. It took me all weekend to do that too.”
Coronation Street is broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streamed on ITVX.
