  • Baltimore police ask for help in finding missing 73-year-old man

    BALTIMORE, MD—Baltimore Police are asking the public for help in locating 73-year-old Paul Banks III, who was reported missing. Banks was last seen in the 700 block of North Belnord Avenue on the evening of August 8 at approximately 10:44 p.m.

    Paul Banks III is described as 5’7″ tall and weighing approximately 205 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray pants, and white sneakers. Banks is believed to be driving a gray 202 Chevy Trax, but the license plate number was not provided.

    Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Paul Banks III is asked to immediately contact Baltimore Police at 911 or 443-984-7385.

  • Parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania are under tornado warning after Debby passes

    STATE COLLEGE, PA—The National Weather Service in State College, PA, has issued a tornado warning, in effect until 9 a.m. EDT, for southeastern Adams County and southwestern York County. The warning follows the discovery of a severe thunderstorm with tornado potential near Littlestown, moving north at 35 mph.

    The storm, known for its radar-guided rotation, poses significant hazards, including the possible formation of a tornado. Flying debris from the tornado may pose a danger to anyone outdoors without proper shelter. Mobile homes may be severely damaged or destroyed, and significant roof, window and vehicle damage is expected, along with likely tree damage.

    Areas expected to be impacted shortly include Hanover, Parkville and Littlestown at approximately 8:30 a.m. EDT, followed by Hampton and New Oxford at approximately 8:40 a.m. EDT and East Berlin at 8:50 a.m. EDT. Abbottstown is also in the path of this dangerous storm.

    Residents are urged to seek shelter immediately, preferably in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows. Those outdoors, in mobile homes or vehicles should seek the nearest solid shelter and protect themselves from flying debris.
