The highly anticipated boxing match between the legendary Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has been postponed to Friday, November 15, at AT&T Stadium.
The fight was originally scheduled for July 20 but was postponed after Tyson, who suffered a scare on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on May 26 and required medical attention, was advised to rest and not resume training for several weeks, according to a statement from MVP, Paul’s promotional company.
“During a follow-up visit on Thursday with medical professionals regarding his recent stomach ulcer, Mike Tyson was advised to undertake minimal to light training over the next few weeks and then return to full training without restrictions,” the statement said.
Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs), of Brooklyn, New York, is the youngest heavyweight to win a world title. At age 20, he defeated Trevor Berbick by second-round TKO in 1986 to win the WBC belt in Las Vegas. “The Baddest Man on the Planet” won the WBA belt in March 1987 and the IBF belt five months later, becoming undisputed champion. He defended his three belts six times until losing a surprise 10th-round KO to James “Buster” Douglas in February 1990.
In February 1992, Tyson was convicted of rape and returned to the ring after serving less than three years in prison. Tyson, who turns 58 at the end of June, had a career-ending record of 6-5 with two no contests.
Paul (9-1, 6 KOs), of Cleveland, Ohio, who now lives and trains in Puerto Rico, began boxing professionally in 2020. He has six consecutive wins, four by stoppage, mostly against former MMA fighters. Paul, 26, lost to Tommy Fury by split decision in February 2023, but has since won three straight fights, including a first-round KO of Ryan Bourland in March.
The fight will be contested over eight rounds of two minutes each, with 14-ounce gloves, and is recognized as a professional fight by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

The card includes a fight between two of the best women in boxing, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, in a 10-round bout for the undisputed junior welterweight championship; and the return of former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. against former UFC fighter Darren Till, who is making his boxing debut, in a six-round light heavyweight bout.
