Drake blames Joe Budden for his infamous mirror selfie pose

Drake makes fun of his infamous mirror selfies, but says he is not to blame for his classic pose.

The OVO founder is often mocked by his fans for the face he makes when taking photos, but according to Drake, there’s a reason he always poses the same way.

The Toronto superstar posted a couple of mirror selfies on Instagram on Wednesday night. He also shared a few photos of the men he believes influenced his pose: Joe Budden and gaming influencer Duke Dennis.

“I’m not conscious of my image or my reflection, it’s a curse I’ve had since birth,” he joked. Poking fun at his longtime nemesis Joe Budden, adding, “I’m influenced by what I see.”

Duke Dennis found the post hilarious and wrote “Lmaooo” in the comments section. Drake continued to playfully troll him, replying, “Fendi bandana someone else taking the photo in the mirror is wild you’re a wild boy Duke.”

He also continued to poke fun at Joe Budden, responding to a commenter who teased the podcaster about his “two-handed pistol squat on the beach.” Drake responded, “Going down with two pistols is insane. He’s on his way back to the all-inclusive and about to order a shaken not stirred martini, Casino Royale ass pose in Shawn Marion shorts.”

Other artists, including Ice Spice and Soulja Boy, flooded the comments section with laughing emojis. Lil Yachty, who is a frequent collaborator with Drake and a good friend, also had something to say. “You forgot to include Ken Carson in this lineup,” he wrote.

Joe Budden hasn’t responded yet, but he’ll probably have something to say about Drake on his podcast.
