Hairdresser Matt, known on TikTok as mattloveshair, regularly shares tips and tricks for better hair care. Recently, he revealed that a habit could be making our hair greasy, especially if we use hair serum.
It seems that many of us use it incorrectly. Matt advises against applying the serum directly to your hands and then into your hair, as this method can make the serum appear greasy.
He explained: “You need to spread the product on your palms until it’s very thin – literally – watch me rub and rub and rub. I want it to be shiny and clear on my palms. Apply it slowly, mainly just to the ends.”
In short, you need to work the product in thoroughly before use. If you just apply it, the result can be that your hair looks unwashed.
Since he posted his video, it has received over 180,000 likes and viewers have voiced their opinions, with his followers suggesting that such important advice should be included on product packaging.
