The grand opening of Cayuga Health’s Center for Health Equity Transformation will take place on October 1. Cayuga Health says the organization is dedicated to improving health equity in all the communities it serves.
The Center for Health Equity Transformation will be a virtual hub for equity strategies, initiatives and resources, according to Cayuga Health. It will bring together staff across Cayuga Health’s various locations and connect them with patients, community partners and academic centers.
“We recognize that achieving health equity requires a shared commitment to transforming our health care system,” said Dr. Martin Stallone, CEO of Cayuga Health. “The Center for Health Equity Transformation, along with the Health Equity Dashboard, is a critical step in our mission to ensure that every individual in our community has the opportunity to achieve their best possible level of health. We are committed to breaking down barriers and improving outcomes for marginalized populations.”
Cayuga Health is also participating in the Center for Health Equity Transformation and will additionally launch a Health Equity Dashboard as part of the Center. The dashboard will provide a current snapshot of data that can be used to identify health disparities. This will also allow staff to drill deeper to understand the gaps and intensify efforts to improve health quality and outcomes.
