At a press conference, Mayo said: “Friends, as I told you 3 days ago, it’s a process as to who the starting quarterback is. We’ve decided; I’ve decided that Jacoby Brissett is going to be our starting quarterback 100%. As an organization, we’re 100% behind Jacoby..” The coach also spoke to both quarterbacks individually and informed them about the team’s season plans.
