Cheap parking fees for motorcycles in Singapore (2019)

Cheap parking fees for motorcycles in Singapore (2019)

While car drivers consider $10 for all-day parking to be “cheap,” motorcyclists know better. For a motorcyclist, $1 per entry is more or less normal. Anything above that is rather expensive.

HDB seasonal parking for motorcycles

Seasonal parking costs range from $80 to $190 per month for cars, depending on the parking type.

For motorcycles, it’s simple: either $15 per month for uncovered parking or $17 per month for covered parking.

You can even purchase a reduced seasonal parking fee (CPST) which allows you to park in the white motorbike parking spaces of all HDB car parks as well as most URA car parks. The fee is $20 per month regardless of the type of parking space.

Apply for a seasonal parking space at cheaper motorcycle parking rates via the HDB e-service or with the mobile app Mobile@HDB.

Voucher parking for motorcycles

As every motorcyclist knows, the next best thing to completely free parking is 65 cent parking at HDB or URA parking lot, payable by coupon.

Generally, the coupon can be redeemed at URA/HDB parking lots with motorcycle parking spaces all day from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. or overnight from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day.

This is good value for money, especially for the open-air parking lots on Orchard Road and in the city centre.

Free parking for motorcycles

Where there is free parking for cars, there is likely to be free parking for motorcycles as well. While it used to be easy to find free parking for motorcycles in most shopping centers, this no longer seems to be the case.

Parking fees for motorbikes in shopping malls can be as high as $6 per 2 hours. But if parking in a mall gets expensive, you can always search for URA/HDB open-air parking spaces using the parking.sg app.

If you know of places that offer free parking for motorcycles, let us know below.

Motorcycle parking fees in Orchard

Orchard Road isn’t exactly the cheapest place in the world, but savvy motorcyclists know you can park there for pennies or less. Here are our top tips.

If you are willing to walk 10 to 15 minutes to your destination to find a free parking space, you can easily find free parking in Orchard Road.

If you are heading to the other end of Orchard, where Orchard Central, Somerset 313, Peranakan Place and Heeren are located, you can park for free at the Concorde Hotel.

Alternatively, there are URA/HDB parking lots where you can pay $0.65 for the whole day.

If you are travelling to ION Orchard and the surrounding area, park in the URA Anguilla Park open car park next to Wheelock Place. This lot fills up quickly and on weekends you may have to wait quite a long time for a space.

Want to watch a film at Cineleisure, have a coffee at Somerset 313 or relax at *SCAPE? Park in the open URA car park opposite Cineleisure on Grange Road.

There are also several URA car parks behind Lido and Pacific Plaza on Claymore Hill and Claymore Road, near Tanglin Club and American Club. These are usually less busy than Anguilla Park and Cineleisure and are worth a try if you are tired of waiting for a parking space.
